Chief Master Sergeant Cynthia Villa, is Command Chief, Fourth Air Force, March Air Reserve Base, California.

As the senior enlisted leader, she is the commander’s primary advisor regarding the welfare, morale, operational readiness, and discipline of the enlisted force. Fourth Air Force has command supervision over the Reserve’s long-range airlift and air refueling units located throughout the continental U.S., Hawaii, and Guam. Fourth Air Force is dedicated to ensuring assigned units and personnel are properly organized, trained and equipped, and ready to support national security requirements across the full spectrum of operations, from war to contingency situations. Fourth Air Force provides leadership, management, and oversight to 18 flying wings and one regional support group, which provide strategic airlift, airdrop, aeromedical, air refueling, and associated expeditionary support activities. Fourth Air Force’s responsibilities encompass 300 units and more than 35,000 personnel.

Chief Villa entered the Air Force in 1993 through Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Upon completion of technical school, she was assigned to the 93rd Supply Squadron, 93rd Bombardment Wing, Castle AFB, Calif. 

In 1999, Chief Villa relocated to March ARB, Calif., as a Health Services Manager with the 452nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron. Her career encompasses a myriad of leadership roles in the medical, administrative, and special duty career fields, and she has mobilized and deployed in direct support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.

In her civilian capacity, Chief Villa is an Engineering Asset Operations Manager for a major aerospace corporation within the State of California that develops and supplies various classified weapon systems and platforms for the Department of Defense. Prior to her current assignment, Chief Villa served as Command Chief, 452nd Air Mobility Wing, March ARB, Calif.
