Largest Reserve group in the Pacific hails new commander

Lt. Col. Deric K. Wong, 624th RSG deputy commander, briefs members of the group prior to the assumption of command ceremony Jan. 10 at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. Col. Robert Huston assumed command of the 624th RSG, which is the largest Air Force Reserve group in the Pacific. Colonel Huston's responsibility as commander of the 624th RSG is managing the largest Air Force Reserve presence in the Pacific, which is comprised of five units in Hawaii and Guam. The group provides the combatant commander more than 650 combat-ready Airmen who specialize in aerial port, aeromedical staging and civil engineering operations for worldwide employment.
