JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas — The 433rd Financial Services Office was named best in Air Force Reserve Command for 2018.
One of the main accomplishments leading to the win is the office’s use of new procedures.
“Our process improvements include implementing a Microsoft Access database for tracking government travel credit cards and outstanding travel orders, and a new SharePoint ticket system,” said Martha Paller, 433rd Airlift Wing budget officer. “The ticket system has been effective in reducing walk-in visits and phone calls, which has freed up our people to process more tasks in the same amount of time.”
Another achievement for the office is their management of resources.
"Our staff is top in 4th Air Force's in the management of funds, specifically operations & management and reserve pay appropriation programs," said Paller. “Top obligation rates in 4th AF for three consecutive years."
The office, which consists of 16 civilian and military personnel, offers military pay services, travel voucher review, budgetary services, and training for organizational defense travel administrators and orders specialists.
