Humanitarian mission helps those in need while providing training for AE, aircrew

701st AS Airman wins AFRC aircrew member award

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. — Air Force Reserve Command has selected Charleston Airman 1^st Class Gage Stevens, 701^st Airlift Squadron loadmaster as a winner of the 2019 AFRC Enlisted Aircrew Member of the Year Award - Airman category..

“Gauge is a legacy loadmaster, his dad flew as a pilot in the 701st during the activation after 9/11; he is an outstanding Airman and always eager to help out in the squadron,” said Chief Master Sgt. Bryan Dubois, 701 AS loadmaster superintendent. "He is representative of the young Airmen we are hiring today to be loadmasters. The 701st has a bright future ahead with Airmen like Gauge working their way up through the ranks to be our future leaders! ”

Gage and the other two Reserve winners will continue on to compete at the Air Force level for the “Red” Erwin award.
