JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. — Staff Sgt. Shakeyna Smith, 701st Airlift Squadron aviation resource manager, is featured in the latest Air Force Reserve Command Profiles in Leadership, a program to recognize notable leaders at every level within AFRC, now in its 5th iteration.  Her poster below, along with 15 other featured Citizen Airmen will be displayed at the Pentagon.

Smith said that her plans to be a pilot have changed due to family reasons, but she has accepted an Air Guard Reserve (AGR) position at the 315th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron.   "My plans have taken a detour for now, but that is not going to stop me from taking to the skies."

"Family first is what we speak and what is important in our success within the Air Force and every area of our lives. I took an AGR tour for now with the 315th AES. This is an opportunity for more development that is beneficial for my future,"  she said.

The complete showcase of this year's leaders can be found here:  https://www.afrc.af.mil/About-Us/Profiles-in-Leadership/Volume-V/

Smith is the third 315th Airlift Wing member to be selected for this exclusive honor.
