Airman and Soldiers bridge gaps among themselves and Iraqis
Staff Sgt. Trevor Birch works with local Iraqis and cultural advisors outside an entry control point before running patients to the Air Force Theater Hospital for treatment at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Nov. 20. U.S. servicemembers contracted a project, which included a new waiting room and security fence upgrade, at the ECP to enhance relations with the Iraqis who visit here to work, conduct business or seek medical assistance. Birch, of the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group Host Nation Patient Liaison Office, is deployed from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He is a native of Midland, Mich. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt.
