445th AMDS, ASTS deploy to New York to help with COVID-19 pandemic

He and nurses from the 445th Airlift Wing’s Aeromedical Staging Squadrons were notified April 4, 2020 that they would be mobilized to New York City to help with the COVID-19 pandemic. The Citizen Airmen will join other military personnel providing medical services at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. This deployment is part of a larger mobilization package of more than 120 doctors, nurses and respiratory technicians Air Force Reserve units across the nation provided over the past 48 hours in support of COVID-19 response to take care of Americans.
