445th Airlift Wing administers first COVID vaccine

Maj. Ryan Armstrong, 89th Airlift Squadron C-17 pilot, receives his first COVID-19 vaccination Feb. 26, 2021. The 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron administered the vaccination to 445th Airlift Wing reservists and monitored each Airman for development of side effects. The two-dose vaccine was recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration under an emergency use authorization and are currently offered to Defense Department personnel on a voluntary basis.
