Reserve Citizen Airmen use 3D printers to solve problems

Staff Sgt. Trenton Westfall, 87th Aerial Port Squadron, adjusts a setting on a 3D printer inside one of two innovation labs on Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. As mission demands allowed, Westfall stepped away from work to initiate a print, often spending more time in the innovation lab on his days off work. The team of three from the 87 APS worked together to design, field test, and adjust multiple prototypes in response to real problems experienced by Airmen on the base.
